Man attempts to set fire to Gurudwara Sahib

Bristol, UK (KP) - Police in North Bristol are hunting for a man who attempted to set fire to a Gurdwara in Britol. Police are appealing the public for information to help catch the man who poured and lit petrol outside of the Gurdwara on Muller Road.

On Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 3:50 am, a man went into the Esso service station on Muller Road purchased and brought petrol in a jerrycan before walking off.

At 4.19am the man was seen pouring petrol outside of the Gurdwara Sahib and setting fire to an area in front of it.

Thankfully the blaze was quickly extinguished by fire crews and damage was minimized.

Police are now treating the incident as racially motivated as detectives probe into this case in search for the man identified by CCTV.

The offender is described as a white male in his mind 20s with dark receding hair.

The suspect police are searching for is a man who was wearing a black coat, with a Stone Island motif on the arm and ripped denim jeans.
