Small Souls, Great Sacrifice

"This year marks the 300th anniversary of the martyrdom of the 4 Sahibzadas. On 26 December 1705, Sahibzada Fateh Singh was martyred at Sirhind along with his elder brother Sahibzada Zorawar Singh . He is probably the youngest recorded martyr in history who knowingly laid down his life at the very tender age of 5 years."

Small Souls, Great Sacrifice..............

RUBBISH!!

We've got this totally wrong, it should be

Great Souls, Small Sacrifice.

We have to remember that even though they were in human form, the level of their spirituality was very high, Much higher than we can comprehend, this is why they are given the title "Baba".
The souls they had were very powerful indeed, with alot of love for God and Guru

and the sacrifice was indeed small. Think about it, what is life and what is death to someone who is at one with God?

When we think about the young sahibzade's shaheedi we think "Oh my God, Guru Gobind Singh Ji would be very angry - imagine how you would feel.." However, if we actually think about it - Guru Ji is not effected by these things. It was in the Hukam/Command of God - therefore it is right.

As I've said before, its only good reading Gurbani or listening to Katha/Ithiaas (History) if after we have listened to it we try and apply it to our own lives. So next time your worried about what other people will think of your dastaar, or how your friends will react to your beard growing naturally - just think... Can you try and be as brave as the sahibzade? (5 and 7 years of age)

Can you have the pride of Sikhi that they did? Head high no matter where you go, you represent the whole sikh nation when you tye a dastaar/turban on your head.
Act as Guru ji would want you to.
